Maungaroa Cultural Landscape
Maungaroa Cultural Landscape is part of the Tentative list of Cook Islands in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Maungaroa Cultural Landscape comprises an archeological landscape on Rarotonga, dating back to A.D. 1300 at the earliest. The marae and rock shelters represent East Polynesian cultural traditions.
